1. Can we bring our dog?

2. Is it ok to use sparklers in our group shoot?

3. I would be to nervous for photos during the getting ready - without make up and all...

4. Should we select the photographs for our wedding book or will you make a selection?

5. Do you work with a 2nd photographer?

6. We aren't great in posing for photos, is that a problem?

7. Can we meet the day before the wedding just to calm our nerves?

8. We would love to meet in person but are living abroad.

9. The house will be extremely busy on the day could we take images of details (dress, rings, shoes) on a different day and even a different location we had in mind?

10. We love the candid/natural style, but would you mind taking "posed" group photos for my grandparents?

11. Where are you based?

1. Can we bring our dog?

Of course! I make sure to bring accessories for the shoot, so please do let me know if you are bringing your dog in advance.

Now there are actually two ways to go about this. If your wedding venue is dog friendly there won't be a huge issue. If the venue does not permit to bring your best friend I can either take photographs at your home prior to your wedding, alternatively I can recommend a fab dog service which is available nationwide in Ireland and offers bespoke packages so your family pet can be part of your big day!

2. Is it ok to use sparklers in our group shoot?

It is - but please with care. Those romantic images with sparklers are quite pretty. While it is important for the photographic effect, that the group of people holding sparklers gets together really closely - it's just as important to mind the sparks to avoid accidents!

3. I would be too nervous for photos during the getting ready - without make up and all...

The getting ready is a great way to get used to the photography and relaxing into having your photographer around. But also enables me to take those pretty details shots of your dress, shoes and rings you don't want to miss in your wedding book.

During the getting ready I would also take images of the venue and some details of the environment that help complete the story of your wedding book. There is no need to be nervous :) Images of make up will be taken in bright light which creates a beautiful & romantic glow.

4. Will you choose images for the book or will we choose our own images?

Here's a tricky one... or not really actually.

If you choose images yourself it's recommended to have a choice of 60 - 100 images (...or more if you are going for additional pages). Write down the image ID and email me the list. The tricky part really is to make a choice.

So,... why not let me take over that part for you? Usually my couples lay their trust into my hands and let me do the hard work. As I shoot with all my heart I get a feel for how to re-tell your story naturally in a documentary style - from the getting ready through to the reception, intimate couple photos up to the first dance... I'll make sure to tell your story beautifully. Plus, I usually complete wedding books within 6-8 weeks after your wedding day.

5. Do you shoot with a 2nd photographer?

During a wedding it is important for me to keep a relaxed and natural atmosphere. I am seeking to photograph real emotions and connections and therefore appreciate to keep the wedding free from too many clicks and snaps & too much use of flash photography. During the getting ready I travel to both locations of either partner. I have a questionnaire included where you can share your timeframe with me. In case the Getting ready of either partner is outside my reach, I am happy to send a second photographer to one of the getting ready locations. During the day I shoot with two professional cameras and have plenty of cards to safe a large collection of images - I won't run out of space.

6. We aren't great in posing will that be a problem?

That's no problem at all - quite the opposite. I have a selection of lenses for different situations. The zoom lens helps me to take photographs from a distance and not to interrupt emotions, connections and to get a collection of images that make you wonder "when did she take that photo??"

7. Can we meet the day before the wedding just to calm our nerves?

I limit my weddings to one per weekend to be able to accommodate around individual wishes of my couples. For weddings abroad I include a meet-up the day prior to your wedding. Feel free to use this opportunity to book an engagement shoot the day before your wedding - might as well, while we're there. For weddings in Ireland please get in touch in time so we can arrange travel & accommodation and if you like you can book your pre-wedding shoot to calm those nerves, or simply meet-up the day before your wedding.

8. We would love to meet in person but are living abroad.

All my destination weddings have one or more Skype chats, or maybe we have met on a previous wedding in France, the UK, Germany or Ireland. Skype chats are a great way to "meet, chat and see" each other. So if you're schedule is either too busy or you're from further afield, let's chat over Skype. If you prefer to meet in person I travel throughout Ireland, let me know and we can arrange a meet-up.

9. The house will be extremely busy on the day could we take images of details (dress, rings, shoes) on a different day and even a different location we had in mind?

That's perfectly fine! A pre-wedding detail shoot can be booked for the dress, rings and shoes anywhere across Ireland. We can include this part of the shoot in your engagement shoot - alternatively if you haven't yet received your dress we can meet a couple of days / weeks before your wedding day - let's make sure it's all booked in for you.

10. We love the candid/natural style, but would you mind taking "posed" group photos for my grand parents?

While during the wedding day my aim is to capture moments in a documentary style, I always take time with the couple, close family & close friends for some group shots. This is also part of the questionnaire I send when booked, so we make sure nothing is left out. ...and there is always that group photo for everyone to be part of.

11. Where are you based?

Iam acceptiing enquiries from anywhere in the world. There is no way too far to capture a life event from two in love. I have travelled to France, the UK and Germany so far, while I am based in the beautiful Midlands of Ireland.

I always get new exciting enquiries and love to hear from you! So let's chat over Skype or meet over a cup of tea and we make sure we create your personal Wedding story together!

xx
