When I was a little kid my dad, mum and older sister (the little one only arrived 10 years later :)), visited my grandma in a village somewhere in the middle of Germany every summer and winter holiday. On every trip my father used to played a cassette and we all listened to "The Boss". It was years later that I learned the importance and value of this ritual in our family. Bruce Springsteen is - in my eyes - one of the most genuine and real musician of our time - and the friend I listen to in any mood, from living the live traveling with "Thunder Road" or "Badlands" to heartbreak soothing "The River".
He is part of the dream that I and my family are living. An imperfect dream we are working on every day. And now I and my love are trying to build our own little dream.
Autumn & Winter are truly beautiful seasons in Ireland. For those who love a bit of open fire romance, fog and ice in the air. In this autumn we are somehow trying to get the lovely country home of my boyfriend's grandma "liveable". We got the walls, a roof and stunning views - what more would one ask for? Well, plumbing and heat I guess. It might take a little longer than anticipated but we are planning to have our first Christmas eve in front of the fire place of this old and likewise pretty house in the middle of nowhere - or "right at the swings" how a local would describe its location.
